How to keep cream last longer?
One of the questions we face is how and where to store cream so that its beneficial properties last as long as possible. Every cosmetic product contains stabilizers and preservatives. However, this is not enough to maintain the product’s effectiveness and safety.
Some rules for proper cream storage:
- Try to take cream with a sterile spatula or clean and dry hands.
- If your cream jar has an additional plastic lid, don’t throw it away. It’s needed to minimize contact between the jar’s contents and air.
- Cream doesn’t need to be stored in the refrigerator! Cream is a mixture of oil and water phases. Oil-based products don’t belong in the refrigerator – the texture may change and the effectiveness of active ingredients may decrease.
- Don’t store creams in the bathroom – there’s high humidity and frequently fluctuating temperature. This is an excellent environment for bacteria.
The ideal storage for cream is in a cabinet that doesn’t let in sunlight and where the temperature doesn’t exceed 22 degrees.
Such a separate corner can be found in every woman’s bedroom. Close cream jars tightly – dust, oxygen, and dirt should not get into the cream to avoid the oxidation process.
